Leon’s Full Service

The Veggie Loaf

Pecan romesco sauce hides under a mountain of roasted cauliflower, shitake mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes. These vegetables were topped with a wedge of Leon’s veggie loaf and a handful of arugula. We still consider this to be one of our favorite vegetarian dishes.

Brick Store Pub

Homemade Shortbread Crackers

Delicate, buttery, and crumbly, the melt-in-your-mouth tender crumb works well with Brick Store’s creamy pâté.

Country Chicken Pâté With Smoked Peach Preserves

Generous portions of both allow you to build each bite to your taste. […]

Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub

Nooks, Crannies, & Cobblestones

Equal parts of gloss, character, charm and tasty nibbles, we were instantly delighted and bemused. The exterior is shiny new and modern. Then, you step into the dimly lit interior. Cobblestones cover the floor. Each turn exposes another cleverly placed table or booth dripping […]

Fentiman’s

Fentiman’s Shandy & Mandarin Orange Jigger

We both loved the Shandy. And, the Mandarin Orange Jigger was “interesting”.

It’s a good thing we like a good dose of heat because this Tunisian Tuna sandwich was swimming in […]

Boyd & Blair

Smooth, creamy, and clean with a perfect dose of sweetness to help it go down like clear liquid magic, this is dangerously good potato vodka. As you take a sip, you inhale a whisper of caramel sweetness that’s just barely there.

Without a doubt, this is the best […]

Innis & Gunn

Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer

The depth and complexity of oak is mellowed by the sweet vanilla, burnt sugar and hints of rum.

We both loved it. But, there’s more than a touch of sweetness to this beer.

The Half Moon Dolce (Fontina, Capicola, Dates, Walnuts, Honey & Minced Rosemary)

This pie was practically begging for a glass (or bottle) of wine. Sadly, we were too early.

Note to self: Delay all future brunch meals til noon or later.

Guava Soda @ World Market

Bundaberg Guava Sparkling Soda

We’re fans of just about all things guava. And, we were drawn to the gorgeous pinky peach color of this soda. We weren’t disappointed. This is guava in a bottle with a nice bit of fizz. The one downside? It is super sweet. That’s […]

H&F Bottle Shop

Barolo Chinato (Antica Ricetta di Giulio Cocchi)

This Barolo Chinato was an instant grab. Instant Win. Cocchi Barolo Chinato makes a lovely after-dinner digestif to sip… as well as a delicious addition to many cocktails. The sharp (yet well-rounded) bite it adds can make a great cocktail even […]
