Fried Basil & Oysters
Crispy fried oysters bursting with sweetness, brittle basil and golden brown slivers of garlic, we both loved every bite.
Spicy Chicken With Sichuan Sauce
Equally delicious, generously breaded chicken pieces were crisp, spicy and full of flavor. Onions, scallions, red pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic and other spices kept us very happy from the first bite to the last.
Beef Tendon & Green Beans
Slivers of tender beef tendon and green beans in sesame oil seasoned with red pepper flakes and chunks of spicy raw garlic started our meal. With a great start like this, we knew good things were sure to follow. And, they most certainly did.

Not Bad, Not Great
Over multiple visits, the quality was more than a little bit inconsistent. This was most easily noticeable with the uni and the unagi. On one visit, the unagi was ice cold. And, if we’re being picky, we might say the prep and plating was a bit sloppy.

Peanut Butter Chip Cupcakes
Cupcakes Are Ridiculous
But, these are ridiculously delicious.
Depending on the mood of the day, we go for Peanut Butter Chip or Triple Cinnamon. We just can’t help loving them. They’re too good to resist.

Chiles Rellenos + Scrambled Eggs
Still piping hot with crispy fried edges, we made the right choice. Our decision to take a break and eat them on the spot started our very early morning off the right way. Each burrito had two chiles generously stuffed with cheese. The scent and taste of sweet corn was present in every bite.
Follow that up with a (giant-sized) super sweet, cinnamon-y horchata. That’s a sure way to guarantee that someone will be bouncing off the walls for the immediate future. We sure did brighten up our cloudy day.

Salmon With Green Curry
Fresh green beans, eggplant, basil, red and green peppers swim in a sea rich with coconut milk and spices.
Pad Char
Crisp-edged catfish pieces are moist and tender on the inside. With each new bite, we’re tempted to nibble more and more of those brightly spicy green peppercorns. For those sensitive to spice, it’s nice to nibble one with a piece of sweet red pepper to introduce yourself to the level of heat that they deliver.
This was another lovely and delicious meal. Three visits to the same restaurant in just over a month, it must be crave-ably good.

Foreway Black Sesame Spread
Imagine that you’ve takes a bar of black sesame brittle and you’ve ground it into a deliciously rich thick sesame paste. That’s the exact flavor of this black sesame spread. It’s loaded with dark roasted sesame flavor, a touch of bitterness and just enough sweetness to make this a decadent treat. Now, this is what we were expecting in a black sesame spread. It would be a serious understatement to say that we love this stuff.
If you love black sesame brittle, you’re gonna love this.
One teaspoon on a wedge of shortbread makes a seriously hearty snack.
