Peach Milkshake @ Chick-fil-A

Peach Milkshake

This is surprisingly tasty for a fast food milkshake… even if the peaches do have that soft (canned) texture. The vanilla base was pleasantly smooth and mostly creamy. The classic peaches’n’cream flavor combination works well in a milkshake. We both agreed. We’d definitely order this again.

Fellini’s — By the Slice

By-the-Slice Sicilian + White Pizza Fixings

I love ordering Fellini’s Sicilian by the slice. An extra trip through the fire makes the crust extra crisp & toasty. The perfect toppings? Add ricotta, garlic, oregano & extra cheese.

Mmm… toasty bits.

Chocolate & Blackberries @ Yoforia

Chocolate with Blackberries

While the chocolate flavor might be pleasant, the texture is coarse with loads of ice crystals and the consistency is watery. The gigantic blackberries were the real highlight. They were perfectly fresh and unbelievably sweet.

Dancing Goats

Dancing Goats Blend

This has been our breakfast coffee of choice for almost 2 years. With roasting dates prominently displayed, it’s easy to find a bag that has been roasted the same day. (Or, on a bad day… within a day or two)

Best Burger In Atlanta?

Burger with lettuce, tomato & jalapenos

Nope, it’s not hiding at Five Guys. But, they do offer an above average fast food burger. With a decent assortment of free toppings, it’s nice to customize a burger to your taste. And, burgers are griddle fried to order. Fries are served in […]

Lemon Ginger Sugar Cookie @ OK Cafe

Lemon Ginger Sugar Cookie

This is my favorite cookie right now. I tend to prefer soft sugar cookies. And, this one is soft, tender & buttery. Close to perfect, this sugar cookie with a delicate use of lemon and crystalized ginger highlights the sweet buttery cookie base. Tender […]

Kimchi Dumplings @ Buford Hwy Farmers Market

Kimchi Dumplings

Kimchi (or kim chee) dumplings are one of our favorite items from the prepared foods section of Buford Highway Farmers Market. They disappear fast. So, they’re usually still piping hot in the package. After fighting the crowds, these mildly spicy dumplings make a great quick lunch.

J&J Jamaican

Jerk Chicken with Red Beans & Rice

We first visited this great spot just east of Stone Mountain Park soon after they opened. And, the food has done nothing but get better and better. The chicken hits all the right spots: spicy, smoky, tender, juicy, and a hint of sweet […]

Fast Food Bites — KFC’s Grilled Spicy Wings

In my book, most fast food falls on a sliding scale of “not bad”. The bottom side of that scale? “Eh, it’s edible. And, I’d rather eat this than starve.” The top side of that scale would be a surprised declaration. “Hmm… not bad.” These wings fall somewhere on the […]
